Rare Music Spring 2008

Rare Music is a lecture-demonstration series co-sponsored by DUMIC and the Duke University Libraries that began last academic year. Once per month (during the academic year) there will be a program on a Friday afternoon at 4 PM in the Rare Book Room in Perkins Library. Each performance will include a question and answer session and will be followed by refreshments.

The schedule is as follows:

January 18
Gentle Flute, Thou Breath of Lover’s Vapour

February 8
The Colonial Connoisseur

March 28
What Can a Modern Singer Learn from Early Instruments

April 11
Cornet Cornucopia

Additional support for Rare Music was provided by the Vice Provost for the Arts, the Vice Provost for International Affairs and Development, the Carrabina Endowment, VoChor, Inc., and the Hopper Piano & Organ Company.

Please see each individual event for parking information.
